Privacy policy

This page explains what information we collect when you use willeau.co.uk and what we do with it. We keep it to the minimum we need.
Who we are
Willeau is run by Tom in Halifax, West Yorkshire. For anything to do with your information, email hello@willeau.co.uk.
If you send us a message
When you use the contact form we receive your name, restaurant, phone number, email address, best time to call and anything you write. If you used the missed-call check first, we also receive the numbers you entered.
- Why: to reply to you and talk about whether Willeau suits your restaurant. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you've asked us to get in touch.
- How it reaches us: the form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. Our email is provided by Google Workspace.
- How long we keep it: up to two years after we last spoke, unless you become a customer. Ask us and we'll delete it sooner.
We don't sell your details or add you to a mailing list.
Analytics cookies
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to see how people use the site: which pages they visit, roughly where they're from, what device they use and which buttons they click. It sets cookies whose names start with _ga.
These cookies are off unless you click Accept on the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time:
The site remembers your choice in your browser's local storage, which isn't sent to us.
Other services the site uses
- Firebase Hosting (Google) serves the website. Like any web server, it briefly processes your IP address to deliver the page.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google.
- Google Calendar handles call bookings if you use the "Book a call" button. Google's own privacy policy applies there.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, under the safeguards UK law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email hello@willeau.co.uk and we'll reply within a month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
